Center what should bulge
The distortion radiates from the middle. Put the subject dead center for the classic in-your-face look; off-center subjects smear toward the edge.
Low strength = wide angle lens
Around 20-30 the effect stops reading as fisheye and starts reading as an expensive ultra-wide: interiors look bigger, group shots fit more in.
The circle sells it
The circular crop is what makes people read fisheye instead of just distorted. Use it for the skate-video and peephole looks.
Square crops center best

Is this a real fisheye or a filter?
The real geometry: barrel distortion applied by resampling every pixel through the same radial function a lens applies optically, with bilinear interpolation so the result stays smooth. It is not an overlay or a blur trick.
Can I get the round black-border look?
Yes, that is the circular crop toggle: it reproduces the circular image field of a true fisheye lens on a square-ish frame, with transparency outside the circle.
Does the photo upload anywhere?

What resolution is the download?
